KEVIN SPACEY - BIOGRAPHY |

||||
A product of Los Angeles' Valley College and the Julliard school, actor Kevin Spacey performed in comedy clubs and repertory theatres before making his off-Broadway bow in a 1981 production of Henry IV, Par 2. He hit Broadway one year later, and in 1986 won a Tony award for his performance in Lost in Yonkers. After playing deranged criminal Mel Proffitt on the TV series Wiseguy, Spacey made a name for himself in films in eccentric, sometimes "certifiable" characterizations. Kevin Spacey was well cast as Henry Miller's oddball roomate in Henry and June (1990), as a leechlike Florida real estate salesman in Glengarry Glen Ross (1991), and as a husband in the bickering married couple in The Ref (1993). |
