In this romantic comedy set in Paris, all-American girl Kate finds herself unwillingly entangled with a charming thief, Luc, whom she met on a plane en route to the City of Light. She was heading to France to win back her fiancé who has jilted her for another. She sat beside Luc en route. While they were conversing, he slipped a piece of loot into her purse. When it is later stolen, she and the thief set out to find it. They despise each other at first, but adventure ensues as they travel across the pretty Gallic countryside and slowly fall in love.
