EMILIO ESTEVEZ - BIOGRAPHY |

||||
When he decided to embark upon an acting career, Emilio Estevez chose to use his original family name rather than the "nom de stage" adopted by his actor father Martin Sheen. Estevez made his film bow in the 1982 alienated-teen flick Tex. He rose to stardom in such "brat-pack" ensemble films as The Breakfast Club (1985) and St. Elmo's Fire (1985). An aspiring "renaissance man" (Hollywood style), Estevez scripted his 1985 vehicle That Was Then... This Is Now, and directed Wisdom (1986) and Men at Work (1987), co-starring in the latter film with his brother, Charlie Sheen. In 1993, after several years of modest popularity, Emilio Estevez became "hot" box-office in the money-making Disney feature The Mighty Ducks (1993). Estevez was at one time married to pop star Paul Abdul. |
